Decide to Commit

To have success reaching a goal, whether it is weight loss or anything else, we have to make a decision to be completely committed. For so many years I started a new diet every week only to fail over and over again. THERE IS A BETTER WAY! The better way is to STOP QUITTING!!!!!! It does not matter if you make a mistake. Just because you ate something off protocol does not mean you stay off protocol. Just recognize the mistake and get back to plan.

How many diets have you started and stopped? Quitting only slows us down from reaching our goals. For a moment you may think you don't mind being overweight. When things get difficult you can often convince yourself that it is easier to be overweight than to eat the way you have to eat to lose weight. Then you quit. Maybe weeks go by, or months. Then the cycle starts over. You decide to try again. Imagine if every time you quit you hadn't. Imagine if you simply ate the off plan meal and started immediately back on track. You would have reached your goal years ago. I would not have spent 20 years trying to lose 30 pounds. It may have taken a year but if I had never quit I would have been to my goal a VERY LONG TIME AGO.

I will never quit again. That doesn't mean I will never eat off protocol again. That does mean that if I get off protocol I simply get back on. Quitting is no longer an option. Learning to manage our minds will eliminate this roller coaster ride of dieting and overeating. The truth is we do not become overweight from eating a couple of meals off protocol. We become overweight because we are choosing a lifestyle of not paying attention to something that we should pay attention to.
