Define Your Protocol

Define Your Protocol

We have all tried so many diets it's ridiculous. The truth is many of them work. I have had great success with Weight Watchers, Paleo, Whole30, Low Carb, etc. The problem wasn't the protocol. The problem was that I did not understand how to manage my mind. With that said we HAVE to choose a protocol, define it for ourselves and FOLLOW IT. There are really only two things that need to happen to lose weight, one is to find a protocol that works, two is to follow it. If you aren't losing weight one of those things is not happening. Most of the time the mental drama is to blame but sometimes the protocol is all wrong.

There is so much conflicting information out there in regards to diets. One of the keys to this is to know yourself. Eating many small meals a day does not work for me. I eat two meals a day, lunch and dinner. This is contradictory to what I was taught my whole life, that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I have a bulletproof coffee for breakfast. You may have to research that if you have never heard of it. I do not eat sugar and flour. I do not snack. This may sound like lunacy to you but it works magically for me. I have energy and my weight dropped with ease. I also have one "joy eat" each week. I do not use negative words like "cheat meal". I get in plenty of calories and feel great on this plan. However, I believe you have to determine your own protocol. The key is DECIDE! Write it down. Follow it for at least two weeks before you decide if it is working or not. Then tweak it. Every protocol is hard but we can do hard things. The one thing I will HIGHLY recommend is to eliminate processed sugar.

Practical tip: Type your protocol and put it on the fridge. Follow it!
